The re-structuring of Police stations within Leicestershire, to broadly fall in line with District Council boundaries, has now taken place.
Kirby Muxloe, which falls within the District of Blaby, is now policed from Blaby Police Station.
This change is to better allow the Police to implement 'Neighbourhood Policing' and work closer with partner agencies, such as District Councils, to better serve each individual neighbourhood.
Neighbourhood policing is the future of Policing and will hopefully help to solve issue and problems within areas using a joint problem-solving approach, rather than trying to work alone when other organisations can, and should, be involved.
(In spite of these organisational changes, I am still based at Braunstone Police station, as it is closer to KIrby Muxloe than Blaby Police station.)
